Gracious and merciful God,
Jesus was welcomed by Martha and Mary into their home
and found there refreshment and rest;
give us the will to love you,
open our hearts to hear you,
and teach us to serve you in others,
for the sake of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Prayer
Our Father,
your kingdom come
on earth as in heaven.
Holy and everliving God,
by your power we are created
and by your love we are redeemed;
guide and strengthen us by your Spirit,
that we may give ourselves to your service
and live this day in love to one another and to you;
through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
