Bless the Lord, whose name is to be praised,
Our Father who art in heaven,
who has given us his laws,
to show us the error of our ways,
Blessed is his son, Christ the Messiah,
who redeemed us from having broken them.
Blessed are you, O Holy Spirit,
who assists us in sinning no more,
and sustains us in the way of the Lord,
grant us wisdom and understanding this day.

Old Testament Reading - Words of wisdom

1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh words cause quarrels.

2 A wise teacher makes learning a joy; a rebellious teacher spouts foolishness.

3 The Lord is watching everywhere and keeps his eye on both the evil and the good.

4 Gentle words cause life and health; griping brings discouragement.

. . .Proverbs 15:1-4

They were faithful until death
and God has given them the crown of life.

Please remember our Prayer Requests

Exalt yourself, O God, above the heavens,
and your glory over all the earth.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
May the fields of the wilderness be rich pasture
and the hills be clothed with joy.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Send out your light and your truth, that they may lead us,
and bring us to your holy hill and to your dwelling.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
