Prayer

Blessèd are you, Sovereign God, ruler and judge of all,
to you be glory and praise for ever!
[In the darkness of this age that is passing away,
may the glory of your kingdom which the saints enjoy
surround our steps as we journey on.
May we reflect the light of your glory this day
and so be made ready to come into your presence,
Creator, Redeemer, and Giver of Life:
Blessèd be God for ever!
Amen.

Old Testament Reading - Psalm 24

thumb

1The earth is Yahweh’s, as well as its fullness,
The world, and those who dwell in it.
2For He has founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
3Who may ascend into the mountain of Yahweh?
And who may rise in His holy place?
4He who has innocent hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to worthlessnessa And has not sworn deceitfully.
5He shall lift up a blessing from Yahweh
And righteousnessb from the God of his salvation.
6Thisc is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face — pay heed O Jacob. Selah.d

Please remember our Prayer Requests

Exalt yourself, O God, above the heavens,
and your glory over all the earth.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
May the fields of the wilderness be rich pasture
and the hills be clothed with joy.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Send out your light and your truth, that they may lead us,
and bring us to your holy hill and to your dwelling.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
