Pray that God would extend his mercy to them.

God assures us that he wishes for all people to turn to him in repentance and faith. He receives no joy from seeing people perish. Pray, then, that God would be glorified in the salvation of these people.
Pray with confidence.

Finally, pray with confidence. God expects we will pray, God invites us to pray, God commands us to pray. Why? Because God loves to hear us pray and God loves to respond to our prayers. So as you pray for unbelievers, pray with confidence that God hears your prayers.
To you, O Lord, we lift our eyes;
to you, enthroned in the heavens.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Let our cry come before you, O Lord;
grant us understanding, according to your word.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Let your merciful goodness come to us, O Lord;
and your salvation, according to your promise.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Satisfy those who thirst,
and fill the hungry with good things.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Your kingship has dominion over all,
and with you is our redemption.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
