You Are Worthy
You are worthy, our Lord and God:
to receive glory and honour and power,
for you have created all things:
and by your will
they were created and have their being.
Amen.
Gospel Reading - Consecration to the truth
6“I have told these men all about you. They were in the world, but then you gave them to me. Actually, they were always yours, and you gave them to me; and they have obeyed you.
13“And now I am coming to you. I have told them many things while I was with them so that they would be filled with my joy. 14I have given them your commands. And the world hates them because they don’t fit in with it, just as I don’t. 15I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from Satan’s power. 16They are not part of this world any more than I am. 17Make them pure and holy through teaching them your words of truth. 18As you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world, 19and I consecrate myself to meet their need for growth in truth and holiness.
. . . . .John 17:6, 13-19Those who are wise will shine as brightly as the heavens;
and those who have instructed many in virtue
will shine like stars for all eternity.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
