Seek the Lord
‘For as the rain and snow
come down from heaven:
and return not again but water the earth,
‘causing the earth to bring forth and sprout:
giving seed to the sower
and bread to the hungry;
‘so shall my word be
that goes forth from my mouth:
it shall not return to me empty,
‘but it shall accomplish that which I desire:
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
New Testament Reading - The Wedding Banquet of the Lamb

6Then I heard again what sounded like the shouting of a huge crowd, or like the waves of a hundred oceans crashing on the shore, or like the mighty rolling of great thunder, “Praise the Lord. For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. 7Let us be glad and rejoice and honor him; for the time has come for the wedding banquet of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. 8She is permitted to wear the cleanest and whitest and finest of linens.” (Fine linen represents the good deeds done by the people of God.)
9And the angela dictated this sentence to me: “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “God himself has stated this.”
. . . . . Revelation 19:6-9- Literally, “he”; the exact antecedent is unclear. God himself has stated this, literally, “These are the true words of God.”
Intercession
Intercession and Thanksgiving are offered in free prayer
or in silence, ending with the following
Show us your mercy, O Lord,
and grant us your salvation.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
The earth is full of violence:
look, O Lord, upon your covenant.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
O God, do not be silent;
do not keep still, nor hold your peace, O God.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
