The United States Congress established the Days of Remembrance as America's annual commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to those victims. This service took place in the U.S.A. in 2011. In this excerpt, cantor Josh C. Perlman sings El Maley Rachamim and Rabbi Israel Arbeiter recites Kaddish. English Subtitles.

Prayer for the Departed

O God, Who art full of compassion,
who dwellest on high,
grant perfect rest in Thy Divine Presence
to all the souls of our holy and pure brethren
whose blood was spilt by the murderers in . . .
Auschwitz, Belzec, Bergen Belsen, Dachau, Majdanek, Sobibor, Treblinka
and other extermination camps in Europe;
and for those murdered by the Einsatzgruppen (mobile killing squads),
whose remains lie in the burned remains of their synogogues or homes,
and in mass graves, in ravines, forests and mines.
We know their blood called out to you as did Able's.
you know them all by name,
each of them was yours.
For whose souls we now pray.
We trust they dwell in paradise with you,
As you promised, they shelter now in the shadow of Your wings for eternity;
where there is no more death and dying,
where you have wiped every tear from their eyes,
and embraced them with your love.
HASHEM is their heritage,
and may they rest now in His embrace.
Amen.
