Gospel Reflection
A grain of wheat is a solitary grain
till it falls to the ground and dies.
A grain of wheat is a solitary grain,
but dead it bears a mighty harvest.
Look on Jesus, lifted up,
lifted high to redeem the world.
Gospel Reading - Being blind not result of Sin
1As he was walking along, he saw a man blind from birth.
2“Master,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?”
3“Neither,” Jesus answered. “But to demonstrate the power of God. 4All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end.
. . . . .John 9:1-4The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
