Collect
Holy and immortal God,
your servant Ignatius
longed to be one with Christ
and urged that Christ’s body should be one;
grant that, feeding on the bread of God,
we may seek the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace;
through Jesus Christ our Redeemer.
Amen.
Prayer
Our Father,
forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Jesus, you knew rejection and disappointment;
help us if our work seems distasteful;
help us to decide what best to do,
what next to do,
or what to do at all.
Give us courage and cheerfulness to go the second mile,
and all the miles ahead.
Amen.
