God our guide,
we bless you for all
whose lives have borne faithful witness to Jesus Christ;
may we also bear the living Christ upon our hearts
and follow the way he lays before us,
which leads to eternal life;
this we ask through Jesus Christ our Redeemer.
Amen.

Prayer

Our Father
hallowed be your name
on earth as in heaven.
God of work and rest and pleasure,
grant that what we do this week may be for us an offering
rather than a burden;
and for those we serve, may it be the help they need.
Amen.
