Loving God,
for whom the isles wait,
we thank you for your servant Charles Elliot Fox,
whose brilliance and spirit
enlivened your church in Melanesia;
help us, like him, to be steadfast in hope,
patient in suffering,
and enquiring in mind,
true disciples of Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Amen.

Prayer

Our Father,
your will be done
on earth as in heaven.
Almighty and everlasting God,
we thank you that you have brought us safely
to the beginning of this day;
keep us from falling into sin or running into danger,
and guide us to do always what is right in your eyes.
Amen.
