Prayer
Bless the Lord, whose name is to be praised,
Our Father who art in heaven,
who has given us his laws,
to show us the error of our ways,
Blessed is his son, Christ the Messiah,
who redeemed us from having broken them.
Blessed are you, O Holy Spirit,
who assists us in sinning no more,
and sustains us in the way of the Lord,
grant us wisdom and understanding this day.
Amen.
Old Testament Reading -The Festival of Weeks - Pentecost
The actual Jewish Festival Shavuot was on the 2 June this year.

22“And you must remember to celebrate these three annual religious festivals: the Festival of Weeks, the Festival of the First Wheat, and the Harvest Festival. 23On each of these three occasions all the men and boys of Israel shall appear before the Lord. 24No one will attack and conquer your land when you go up to appear before the Lord your God those three times each year. For I will drive out the nations from before you and enlarge your boundaries.
. . . . . Exodus 34:22-24Intercession
Please remember our Prayer Requests
In the morning, Lord, you hear our voice:
we make our appeal and watch for you.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Come, O Lord, and bless the righteous;
defend them with your favour as with a shield.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Let all the earth fear you, O Lord our God;
let all who dwell in the world stand in awe of you.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
