Collect
Eternal God,
grant to us this day and every day
such readiness and delight in following Christ,
that whether our lives are short or long
we shall have lived abundantly.
Amen.
New Testament Reading - Forgive as God forgives
31Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives. 32Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ.
51 Follow God’s example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father. 2Be full of love for others, following the example of Christ who loved you and gave himself to God as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, for Christ’s love for you was like sweet perfume to him.

Intercession
Pray for 3 people on your heart ending with the prayer below.
To you, O Lord, we lift our eyes;
to you, enthroned in the heavens.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Let our cry come before you, O Lord;
grant us understanding, according to your word.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Let your merciful goodness come to us, O Lord;
and your salvation, according to your promise.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Satisfy those who thirst,
and fill the hungry with good things.
Christ, have mercy. E te Karaiti, kia aroha mai.
Your kingship has dominion over all,
and with you is our redemption.
Lord, have mercy. E te Ariki, kia aroha mai.
Amen.
