Lord God,
you have taught us not to repay evil with evil,
but rather to bless;
we thank you for the life and witness
of Ngakuku,
who proclaimed peace to all people
in the power of your Holy Spirit;
you have made us of one blood,
make us also of one mind,
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Prayer
Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
Almighty God,
you see that we have no power of ourselves
to help ourselves;
keep us both outwardly in our bodies
and inwardly in our souls,
that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body,
and from all evil thoughts
which may assault and hurt the soul.
