Gracious and eternal God,
you called Samuel Marsden
to lead the first mission to the Maori people;
grant that, following in his footsteps,
we may bring to this land
the good news of great joy
in Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Our Father,
your kingdom come
on earth as in heaven.
God,
grant us the serenity
to accept the things we cannot change,
the courage to change the things we can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
