Prayer
Bless the Lord, whose name is to be praised,
Our Father who art in heaven,
who has given us his laws,
to show us the error of our ways,
Blessed is his son, Christ the Messiah,
who redeemed us from having broken them.
Blessed are you, O Holy Spirit,
who assists us in sinning no more,
and sustains us in the way of the Lord,
grant us wisdom and understanding this day.
Amen.
Old Testament Reading - My Strength and Song
1 On that day you will say, “Praise the Lord! He was angry with me, but now he comforts me. 2See, God has come to save me! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; he is my salvation. 3Oh, the joy of drinking deeply from the Fountain of Salvation!”
4In that wonderful day you will say, “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the world about his wondrous love.aHow mighty he is!” 5 Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. 6 Let all the people of Jerusalem shout his praise with joy. For great and mighty is the Holy One of Israel, who lives among you. . . . . . Isaiah 12:1-6- Literally, “Proclaim his doings among the nations.”
