give us something of Francis’ simplicity,
something of his recklessness,
something of his obedience;
give us the courage
to understand what you say
and to do it.
Thank Him for 3 things that happened today (Good or Not!)
give us today our daily bread.
O divine Master,
grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled,
as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with us all evermore.
The divine Spirit dwells in us.
Thanks be to God.
