Collect

God of harmony and of every beautiful sound,
on this Cecilia’s Day, we praise you
for all who make music to delight us as we worship you;
our song will be of martyrdom, of purity and courage;
our song will be of forgiveness and hope.
Amen.

New Testament Reading - Making melody

thumb

15,16 So be careful how you act; these are difficult days. Don't be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good. 17 Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to. 18 Don't drink too much wine, for many evils lie along that path; be filled instead with the Holy Spirit, and controlled by him.

19Talk with each other much about the Lord, quoting psalms and hymns and singing sacred songs, making music in your hearts to the Lord. 20 Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

. . .Ephesians 5:15-20

Thanksgiving

Thank Him for 3 things that happened today (Good or Not!)

Prayer

Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.

God, we go into this night
confident that the dawn will break tomorrow;
grant that when we come to die,
we may go gladly and in hope,
confident in the resurrection.
Amen

The Blessing

May Christ the King give us his blessing of peace.
Amen.

Let us bless the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
