New Testament Reading - Members of one body
12Our bodies have many parts, but the many parts make up only one body when they are all put together. So it is with the “body” of Christ. 13Each of us is a part of the one body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But the Holy Spirit has fitted us all together into one body. We have been baptized into Christ’s body by the one Spirit, and have all been given that same Holy Spirit.
27Now here is what I am trying to say: All of you together are the one body of Christ, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.

Prayer
Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
Dear Lord,
watch with those who wake or watch or weep tonight,
and give your angels charge over those who sleep;
tend your sick ones,
rest your afflicted ones, shield your joyous ones,
and all, for your love’s sake.

The Blessing
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with us all evermore.

The divine Spirit dwells in us.
