MatinsI am sharing this as educational - most of us in the West, know the biblical version at the beginning of this. But not the later part, this shares the Arab/Muslim version. I had never heard it, I do not believe it, but the fact that Islam does, explains rather a lot.

Almighty God,
your saints are one with you
in the mystical body of Christ;
give us grace to follow them
in all virtue and holiness
until we come to those inexpressible joys
which you have prepared for those
who truly love you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord . . .
Amen.
Prayer
Our Father,
give us today our daily bread.
Holy and eternal God,
in you we live and move and have our being.
In all our cares and occupations,
guide and govern us by your Spirit,
that we may both remember and reveal your presence;
through our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen.
