Special Reflection
Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
no hands but yours,
no feet but yours;
yours are the eyes through which to look at Christ’s compassion to the world,
yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good,
and yours are the hands, with which he is to bless us now. - St Teresa of Avila
Gospel Reading - The Harvest Is Great, the Labourers Few

35Jesus traveled around through all the cities and villages of that area, teaching in the Jewish synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And wherever he went he healed people of every sort of illness. 36And what pity he felt for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn’t know what to do or where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd.
37“The harvest is so great, and the workers are so few,” he told his disciples. 38“So pray to the one in charge of the harvesting, and ask him to recruit more workers for his harvest fields.”
. . . . .Matthew 9:35-38The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
