Gospel Reflection

The time has come; the kingdom of God is upon us.
Let us repent and believe the gospel.
Listen to Jesus who proclaims good news,
which he alone fulfills.

Gospel Reading - Jesus calms the Storm

23Then he got into a boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24Suddenly a terrible storm came up, with waves higher than the boat. But Jesus was asleep.

25The disciples went to him and wakened him, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re sinking!”

26But Jesus answered, “O you men of little faith! Why are you so frightened?” Then he stood up and rebuked the wind and waves, and the storm subsided and all was calm. 27The disciples just sat there, awed! “Who is this,” they asked themselves, “that even the winds and the sea obey him?”

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
     hallowed be your name,
     your kingdom come,
     your will be done,
          on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
     and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
     now and for ever.
