Prayer List

Heavenly Father,
you have promised to hear when we pray
in the name of your son,
Therefore in confidence and trust,

We pray for the Church:

🙏 For persecuted Christians around the world.

🙏 We pray for our local clergy, (wherever in the world you happen to be). For the administration staff of our Church – who keep things running smoothly. For all the volunteers that help with all that needs to be done. For youth workers, Sunday school teachers and helpers in both the school and church situations. We pray especially for those reaching out and working in Pastoral Care.

🙏 We pray for the Church of Latter Day Saints, in Michigan, USA as they pray for the lives of those lost, in the recent church shooting and arson, and for those still in hospital, especially the children.

Father enliven the Church for its mission
that we may be salt of the earth and light to the world

Breathe fresh life into your people
Give us power to reveal Christ in word and action.

We pray for the world:

( You can choose 1 or 2 from our list, so as not to get overwhelmed) and we will try to limit the list which currently contains 2 global issues and 7 countries.
WORLD LEADERS

🙏 Scripture calls on us to pray for our leaders. Pray specifically for good and just rulers to be raised up. God has used Rulers in the past, whether they were believers or not, to accomplish His purposes. Pray that those who are unfit to rule their lands may repent and change (as did Nebuchadnezzar) – or be removed (as were Pharaoh and Belshazzar).

ANTI-SEMITISM

🙏 Anti-Semitism is rife throughout the world right now. There is a simpler word for anti-Semitism - it is pure and simply Racism - please pray against racism throughout the world - Racism is a tool of Satan and we should not tolerate it in ourselves or in our Churches and communities! Pray against this tool of the enemy and his lies! Pray for Gentile churches to have greater sensitivity to the Jewish remnant, and those ethnic Jews who are our brothers and sisters in Christ, within the global Church.

GAZA

🙏 All of the Hamas leadership are now dead! Please pray for these 4 points:-


IRAN

🙏 Many Christians have been arrested over Christmas in Iran and now the economy has collapsed, the Iranian people have risen up in the streets, with nothing to lose, and are protesting and calling for an end to the Islamic Republic and a return of the King. Please pray for freedom for the Iranian people. For protection for those Iranian's fighting against the IRG forces.

ISRAEL

🙏 God does not and will not forget his first people! He loves the Jews, there is not a family in Israel that has not been touched by the terrorism of Hamas and Hezbollah. Please pray for healing for the Israeli people. Peace is still not happening for Israel as once more they are having to fight Hezbollah on their Northern Border. Please pray.

NORTH KOREA

🙏 North Korea today is like a nightmare. The state creates a cult around the young “Supreme Leader” (Kim Jong-un) and his dead grandfather (Kim Il-Sung), and does not allow the people to interact with the outside world. More than 3 million people have starved to death since 1994. If you even say the name “Jesus” aloud you may die for it. We do not know much about the underground Church, but we know it survived and even grows. The government holds up to 100,000 Christians in labour camps. Pray for North Korean believers to persevere in one of the most difficult countries for Christians. Pray that help will reach the desperate, hungry people. Pray that in God’s timing a change would come to completely free and transform this land.

SYRIA

The new President of Syria has his hands full. Nearly 17 million people require humanitarian aid in Syria, with a similarly large number displaced from their homes. Turkey, Israel and the USA all maintian a military presence in different parts of Syria. Over the weekend 2 US soldiers were killed in Syria. Rather than retaliate against the new Syrian Governament, the USA has chosen to look deeper and investigate, as this maybe a 'lone gunman' situation. The investigation has highlighted how the new regime in Syria continues to grapple with extremist elements within the country (ISIS), including among members of its own army. Pray the peace of God for this land exhausted by war, an end to the attempted genocides of Christians, Alawites and Druze in the region and the mercy of God for the long-suffering people. A spirit of hopelessness afflicts many – pray for hope that might find its ultimate fulfilment in Christ!

UKRAINE

🙏 Russia is determined to dominate the Ukraine. The Ukraine is determined to be free! The fact that the Ukraine has held its own (sometimes barely) against Russia for 4 years is a miracle! War is never good but neither is giving into tyranny and Putin is a tyrant; his rule has been characterized by the suppression of political opponents, restrictions on freedom of the press, and a strong personality cult.. marking him as dictator! Please continue to uphold the Ukraine in prayer. Millions of Ukrainians have been displaced, and hundreds of thousands have been killed. A peace deal is reported to be 95% ready, pleace pray for wisdom and success for those brokering this deal, pray that Russia will back off and agree to Peace. For the Ukraine, rebuilding from the devastation will take years, or even decades. Even more complicated will be the healing of trauma experienced. Please continue to pray for the Ukraine.

VENEZUELA

Venezuela has unravelled in the past few years. Under President Maduro poverty and corruption have been widespread, 60% of city dwellers live in slums; health care crises, massive food shortages, and hyperinflation have caused millions of Venezuelans to flee the country, desperately seeking survival and opportunity elsewhere. An increasing number are children, the elderly, or pregnant women, all at risk of exploitation by unscrupulous traffickers and criminals. Pray for their protection. The USA has taken note mainly due to the strong drug cartel influence and activity coming from Venezuela and are taking action. Pray for God to bring relief to the suffering of the Venezuelan people. Fewer people go to church in Venezuela than in any other Latin American nation, they seem to have lost their faith over the years, pray for spiritual revival for Venezuela.

Creator of all,
lead us and every people into ways of justice and peace,
That we may respect one another in freedom and truth.

Awaken in us a sense of wonder for the earth
and all that is in it
Teach us to care creatively for its resources.

We pray for our Country:

🙏 We pray you grant wisdom to our Government, that they continue to make wise decisions, especially in light of the stife and turmoil continuing in the world.

Give grace to all whose lives are linked with ours.
May we serve Christ in one another, and love as he loves us.

We pray for those in need:

🙏 Please pray for AJ who is receiving 6 hourly dialysis and has now developed heart problems.

🙏 Please pray for Clare, who has brain tumors and her family, who have gathered as her condition deteriorates; please pray for comfort for them, and peace for Clare.

🙏 Please pray for a friend of Angharads, who has lost her home to fire.

🙏 Please pray for Sue's Dad who is in hospital in the UK. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, and healing.

God of hope comfort and restore
all who suffer in body, mind or spirit
May they know the power of your healing love.

Make us willing agents of your compassion.
Strengthen us as we share in making people whole.

Thanksgiving

Lord we praise and thank you for:

🙏 Please pray a blessing for all those on prayer chains - the many who faithfully pray and intercede for others. There is a lot of hurt, pain and evil in the world, sometimes it can feel overwhelming and sometimes a tangible sense of the sadness God feels about it can also be felt. Help us remember Jesus is big enough to love all of us. But today especially pray for those who upon receiving a text, pause whatever they are doing and for a few moments, reconnect with God to bring the plight of someone who needs prayer to his attention. Thank God for the love and compassion they have towards others.

🙏 God’s creation that is still going on around us.

🙏 God loves us so much during this difficult time, and he shares our pain, fear and grief. His shoulders are large enough to embrace the world - it is natural to worry, but it is also a burden we need not bear, give the worries to Him.

🙏 Give thanks for our worldwide family of God, loved by God and by each other.

🙏 Our families, friends and loved ones and our church families.

PRAYER 7's

We offer thanks and praise to you LORD
for blessing this venture,
giving us your support, and inspiration.
We praise you for being, who you are,
that you bless us with what we need
often before we even know we need it.
That your plans for us are so much greater
than anything we could imagine.
