Prayer List

Heavenly Father,
you have promised to hear when we pray
in the name of your son,
Therefore in confidence and trust,

We pray for the Church:

🙏 For persecuted Christians around the world.

🙏 We pray for our local clergy, (wherever in the world you happen to be). For the administration staff of our Church – who keep things running smoothly. For all the volunteers that help with all that needs to be done. For youth workers, Sunday school teachers and helpers in both the school and church situations. We pray especially for those reaching out and working in Pastoral Care.

🙏 We pray for the Church of Latter Day Saints, in Michigan, USA as they pray for the lives of those lost, in the recent church shooting and arson, and for those still in hospital, especially the children.

Father enliven the Church for its mission
that we may be salt of the earth and light to the world

Breathe fresh life into your people
Give us power to reveal Christ in word and action.

We pray for the world:

( You can choose 1 or 2 from our list, so as not to get overwhelmed) and we will try to limit the list which currently contains 2 global issues and 7 countries.
WORLD LEADERS

🙏 Scripture calls on us to pray for our leaders. Pray specifically for good and just rulers to be raised up. God has used Rulers in the past, whether they were believers or not, to accomplish His purposes. Pray that those who are unfit to rule their lands may repent and change (as did Nebuchadnezzar) – or be removed (as were Pharaoh and Belshazzar).

ANTI-SEMITISM

🙏 Anti-Semitism is rife throughout the world right now. There is a simpler word for anti-Semitism - it is pure and simply Racism - please pray against racism throughout the world - Racism is a tool of Satan and we should not tolerate it in ourselves or in our Churches and communities! Pray against this tool of the enemy and his lies! Pray for Gentile churches to have greater sensitivity to the Jewish remnant, and those ethnic Jews who are our brothers and sisters in Christ, within the global Church.

GAZA

🙏 All of the Hamas leadership are now dead! Please pray for these 4 points:-


IRAN

🙏 Iran is in the midst of a Civil War, the Anti-Islamists (now most of the Iranian people) have come out in massive numbers chanting for the downfall of the Regime and for the return of their King - the Crown Prince who has been in exile for years. Two days ago the Regime began using Chemical Warfare against its own people. Over 25,000 protestors have been arrested and there are reports of women among the protestors being raped an beaten by the regime once imprisoned. The forces of the USA have been steadily building up, moving to the area - the people of Iran are hoping and praying President Trump will order them to come to their rescue and assist in finally taking down the regime, because the people are unarmed and going up again armed soldiers brought in from Iraq and Lebanon to quell them and kill them. There is no turning back now, for them if the regime continues to hold control it will eventually kill the millions who have been protesting. Please pray for the Anti-Islamists in Iran for their freedom, protection and for our brothers and sisters in Christ there.

ISRAEL

🙏 Israel is on high alert to defend themselves against an attack of any sort from Iran as the last gasp of the dying regime may be to initiate such an attack. At the same time Jewish people in England have full reason to no longer feel safe there and are beginning to make Aaliyah - to return to their native homeland of Israel from the UK. President Trump has also offered them Asylum in the USA. But most I think will go to Israel. Prophetically a signifigant thing to be occuring....although they may wait a couple of days more until Iran falls, then you could see large number emigrating.

NORTH KOREA

🙏 North Korea today is like a nightmare. The state creates a cult around the young “Supreme Leader” (Kim Jong-un) and his dead grandfather (Kim Il-Sung), and does not allow the people to interact with the outside world. More than 3 million people have starved to death since 1994. If you even say the name “Jesus” aloud you may die for it. We do not know much about the underground Church, but we know it survived and even grows. The government holds up to 100,000 Christians in labour camps. Pray for North Korean believers to persevere in one of the most difficult countries for Christians. Pray that help will reach the desperate, hungry people. Pray that in God’s timing a change would come to completely free and transform this land.

SYRIA

Islamist militias overthrew Syria's dictatorial regime in late 2024. Pray that Christians will have freedom to worship. Pray for the protection of Christians in Syria. Pray for more than 750,000 Christians who were driven from Syria during the civil war. Pray for Syrian Christians who have lost jobs, homes and family relationships because of their faith. Pray that many Muslims will turn to Christ as Christians proclaim the gospel and help meet their needs.

U.K.

🙏 Journalists in London have been attacked by Metro police while filming protests. Things for Jews in England are becoming so bad that President Trump had offered them asylum in the USA, we may see many soon also emigrate there or to Israel when the regime in Iran falls. Free speech no longer exists in the UK and people have been arrested for things they have said in social media posts. It appears the values of the West are being slowly eroded as more and more Islamists move into the UK, spreading anti-semitism, hatred and their own culture rather than accepting British culture, and now their government is allowing China to build an Embassey in London that MI5 has warned against, 'as a major threat to National Security of the UK.' Because of its positioning over major communication and power networks. So please pray for the government and people of the UK.

UKRAINE

🙏 USA President Donald Trump is hoping to talk to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy at the World Enconomic Forum in at Davos, in futherence of peace talks to end the War with Russia. I don't know how far he will get with him as given that Putin and Russia are the aggressor here and Zelenskyy and Ukraine the struggling scrappy underdog that beyond all attempts to kill it has managed to survive. But we can continue to pray for the struggling people of the Ukraine and that Peace will come but not at the expense of freedom, they have fought and endured too long and too hard and deserve to keep thier hard won freedom.

Creator of all,
lead us and every people into ways of justice and peace,
That we may respect one another in freedom and truth.

Awaken in us a sense of wonder for the earth
and all that is in it
Teach us to care creatively for its resources.

We pray for our Country:

🙏 We pray you grant wisdom to our Government, that they continue to make wise decisions, especially in light of the stife and turmoil continuing in the world.

Give grace to all whose lives are linked with ours.
May we serve Christ in one another, and love as he loves us.

We pray for those in need:

A landslide/mud slide has buried a number of people in the camping ground in Mt Manganui at 9.30 this morning - they don't know how many may have died, and they may find people alive. Our heroic Police have risked their lives getting people out last night and this morning. There are 2 people missing in another slip at another site in the same area. 🙏 Please pray for AJ who is receiving 6 hourly dialysis and has now developed heart problems.

🙏 Please pray for Clare, who has brain tumors and her family, who have gathered as her condition deteriorates; please pray for comfort for them, and peace for Clare.

🙏 Please pray for a friend of Angharads, who has lost her home to fire.

🙏 Please pray for Sue's Dad who is in hospital in the UK. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, and healing.

God of hope comfort and restore
all who suffer in body, mind or spirit
May they know the power of your healing love.

Make us willing agents of your compassion.
Strengthen us as we share in making people whole.

Thanksgiving

Lord we praise and thank you for:

🙏 Please pray a blessing for all those on prayer chains - the many who faithfully pray and intercede for others. There is a lot of hurt, pain and evil in the world, sometimes it can feel overwhelming and sometimes a tangible sense of the sadness God feels about it can also be felt. Help us remember Jesus is big enough to love all of us. But today especially pray for those who upon receiving a text, pause whatever they are doing and for a few moments, reconnect with God to bring the plight of someone who needs prayer to his attention. Thank God for the love and compassion they have towards others.

🙏 God’s creation that is still going on around us.

🙏 God loves us so much during this difficult time, and he shares our pain, fear and grief. His shoulders are large enough to embrace the world - it is natural to worry, but it is also a burden we need not bear, give the worries to Him.

🙏 Give thanks for our worldwide family of God, loved by God and by each other.

🙏 Our families, friends and loved ones and our church families.

PRAYER 7's

We offer thanks and praise to you LORD
for blessing this venture,
giving us your support, and inspiration.
We praise you for being, who you are,
that you bless us with what we need
often before we even know we need it.
That your plans for us are so much greater
than anything we could imagine.
